On December 10, the 2025 textile machinery industry production and operation work symposium was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Relevant leaders of China Textile Industry Federation, China Textile Machinery Association, industry experts and scholars, as well as more than 100 representatives of textile machinery enterprises from all over the country gathered together to analyze and exchange information about the macro environment, industry operating conditions and future market expectations, and explore new opportunities for industry development. The meeting was chaired by Gu Ping, president of China Textile Machinery Association.

Look at the general trend and find a path forward
"Textile machinery industry in the first three quarters of the overall stable operation, industry production, exports, benefits, investment and other major economic indicators basically continued the growth trend in the first half of the year, but the growth rate has fallen, exports have picked up." Liu Song, vice president of China Textile Machinery Association, said when analyzing the operation of the industry. In the subdivision industry, the sales volume of knitting machinery and weaving machinery is growing, the sales volume of printing and dyeing machinery is increasing from decreasing to increasing, spinning machinery is falling, the sales volume of chemical fiber machinery products is significantly differentiated, and the sales volume of nonwoven machinery is gradually recovering and maintaining stability.
According to customs statistics, the cumulative total of China's textile machinery imports and exports from January to October 2023 was 5.697 billion US dollars, a decrease of 8.58% compared with the same period last year. Among them: textile machinery imports of 1.95 billion US dollars, down 22.37%; Exports reached 3.746 billion US dollars, up 0.74% year on year.
Since the beginning of this year, the global demand for textile machinery and equipment is still in a weak adjustment, the overall has not yet improved, and the export of textile machinery in major textile machinery producing countries has shown a declining trend. As the largest textile machinery export country, China's textile machinery export performance is the most stable, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey and other five countries are the top five countries in China's exports, of which Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan showed positive growth, and exports to Turkey showed a significant decline. From the perspective of export categories, the decline of spinning chemical fiber machinery is more obvious, and the export of knitting machinery and printing and dyeing finishing machinery has achieved greater growth.
According to the survey of key enterprises of China Textile Machinery Association, the expectations of enterprises on the industry situation in the fourth quarter of 2024, 19.2% of enterprises think that the situation is optimistic, 50.7% of enterprises think that the situation is general, and 29.5% of enterprises think that it is not optimistic.
Speaking of industry expectations, Liu Song said that the reconstruction of the global textile and garment industry chain will continue, domestic market demand continues to face pressure, and challenges such as rising uncertainty in the trade environment remain to be resolved. From the observation of historical data, although the growth of the main operating indicators of China's textile machinery industry may slow down in 2025, the basic disk of the high-quality development of the textile machinery industry is still solid, and the space for the development of the industry is still broad. In terms of the domestic market, China's textile industry intelligent transformation, high-performance fibers, high-end industrial textiles and other market demand continues to grow, environmental protection, energy saving, resource recycling will bring new equipment demand increase. In terms of overseas markets, after two years of decline in global textile machinery trade, there are signs of stabilization in the fourth quarter of this year, and China's textile machinery exports are expected to further increase in 2025.
